Dallas, TX (2/28/14) Lone Star Analysis, internationally recognized for its unique enhanced decision analytics support, business modeling and simulation, and a provider of executive advisory services, announces it has been awarded a contract from the NAVSEA Logistics Center (NAVSEALOGCEN) to assist in supply chain analysis.
The objective of this project is to assist NAVSEALOGCEN in improving their support to NAVSEA, and other acquisition stakeholders, with recommendations on integrated product support decisions reducing total lifecycle costs and meeting operational readiness goals. Those goals include: 1) Developing the sustainment supply chain framework to support NAVSEA enterprise decision making using the Lone Star Influence Diagram, and 2) Ensuring alignment of the organizational, functional, financial, and temporal elements comprising NAVSEA systems program total lifecycle.
The Lone Star proposal blends its expert systems logistics experience with unique modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities. This is a significant departure from limited, older methods previously used to support logistics investment decisions.
“Lone Star provides a transparent and integrated way to understand the enterprise-wide cause and effect relationships in making informed life cycle decisions to reduce total ownership cost,” said Basil F. Gray III, Lone Star Vice President, National Capital Region. “Because our M&S solution facilitates a rapid and recurring variance analysis for proactive action, and identification of potential savings, NAVSEALOGCEN enjoys even greater added value benefits.”
Lone Star’s TruNavigator™ M&S capability naturally addresses uncertainty, delivering decision quality analysis. Using its proven five stage modeling process, Lone Star is able to rapidly produce meaningful results by exploring performance, cost, and risk impact across organization, function, funding, and temporal boundaries. This capability provides the complex analysis required to understand and facilitate these relationships and make more informed decisions; delivering insight through Dynamic Simulations – not Static Models.
“TruNav generates simulations that provide a true understanding of the range of potential outcomes for any decision – regardless of size, complexity and degree of uncertainty,” Matthew Bowers, Lone Star Vice President, Corporate Development, noted. “Our clients can easily visualize and understand potential outcomes due to the intuitive graphical outputs and they can run real-time “what if” scenarios to generate a level of understanding not previously capable with other tools.”
Lone Star’s pedigree includes modeling and simulation for NASA’s manned Mars mission, for AT&T’s U-verse network operations, the framework for the U.S. Navy’s primary pilot training, and many other critical client applications and issues.
